For more than 25 years, Waren Price has stood in Texas courtrooms on both sides of criminal cases. He began his career as a trial court prosecutor, and today he uses that experience for one purpose: defending people accused of crimes. He does not represent corporations or the government. He represents individuals and families.
After graduating from Southern Methodist University School of Law, Mr. Price joined the district attorney’s office as a trial prosecutor. He started on misdemeanor cases such as DWI and assault, and was soon promoted to felony prosecutor. There he handled the most serious cases in the system, including murder, aggravated robbery, and aggravated sexual assault. He tried approximately 100 cases to juries during that time, and that trial experience is the foundation of his practice today.
He later joined a defense firm in downtown Dallas, where he handled high-stakes civil litigation involving millions of dollars in damages. That work sharpened his skills in investigation, negotiation, and complex litigation, which he now brings to every criminal case.
Because he spent years building cases for the State, Mr. Price knows how prosecutors evaluate evidence, where cases are weak, and how they are negotiated and tried. He puts that knowledge to work from the first consultation.
